Meetings of the Parties
2nd MOP, 23 – 25 March 2000, The Hague (Netherlands): Recognition of the Protocol on Water and Health adopted under the Agreement by the Third Ministerial Conference on the Environment and Health in London in 1999. The Protocol is considered a useful tool to ensure that there is drinking water and adequate sanitation for the State-Parties of the Agreement.

4th ΜΟΡ, 20 – 22 November 2006, Bonn (Germany): Adoption of  approaches in the monitoring and assessment of transboundary rivers, lakes and groundwater. Provisions were also adopted on transboundary flood management and (jointly with the Accident Convention) guidelines were adopted on safety and best practices for pipeline management.

5th ΜΟΡ, 10 – 12 November 2009, Geneva (Switzerland): Adoption of Guidance on Water and Adaptation to Climate Change aiming in jointly addressing the impact of climate change.

6th ΜΟΡ, 28 – 30 November 2012, Rome (Italy): Adoption of an Implementation Committee to monitor the compliance of the State-Parties of the Agreement with what was agreed.

Joint Special Session of the Conference of the Parties, 21 – 22 July 2001, Geneva (Switzerland): Adoption of a Joint Tast-Force between the two Agreements: UN/ECE Accident Convention & UN/ECE Water Convention.

Second Joint Special Session, 21 May 2003, Kiev (Ukraine): Adoption of Protocol on Civil Liability and Compensation for Damage Caused by the Transboundary Effects of Industrial Accidents on Transboundary Waters, a common Protocol for both Agreements.
